Jaishankar sends message to Bangladesh
The Indian foreign minister made these observations in a recent letter to Bangladesh’s foreign minister AK Abdul Momen. In the letter dated 4 June, S Jaishankar wrote that the deepening ties between the two countries had been possible due to the wide and farsighted leadership of Bangladesh’s prime minister Sheikh Hasina and India’s prime minister Narendra Modi.
India’s foreign minister also said the Awami League-led government was recently formed in Bangladesh with the massive support of the people. Last month the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance had also formed the government in India with huge public support.
