India won’t interfere in Bangladesh polls: Shringla
Indian high commissioner Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Friday said his country will not interfere in polls and internal affairs of Bangladesh.
“Massive changes are taking place in different spheres of Bangladesh’s development. As a friendly nation, India will stand by Bangladesh,” the high commissioner told a function in Chandpur.
Shringla inaugurated India-funded Mahatma Ghandhi Auditorium at Chandpur Farkkabad Degree College on the day.
The college’s founder and Awami League central relief and social welfare secretary Sujit Roy Nandi presided over the programme which was addressed by, among others, member of parliament (MP) Shamsul Haque Bhuian and Chandpur municipality mayor and district unit AL president Nasir Uddin Ahmed.
AL joint general secretary Dipu Moni was also present on the occasion.
