Human rights activist Sultana Kamal has said a culture of lack of justice is prevailing in Bangladesh, which this is peddling a feeling of defeatism among the people.
Addressing an event at the DC Hall in Chittagong on Monday, she said, “In the present situation we are constantly bowing our heads.”
“Although no-one is continuously attacking us, killing us, although our women are not being continuously raped, still every individual is going through a feeling of defeat,” she said.
She expressed discontent at the justice being delivered after unpleasant incidents and said the absence of justice is making the citizens habituated to accepting defeat.
Sultana said communalism and terrorism teach people to treat their own faiths and ways as the best.
“In this way, we are making our worlds increasingly narrow,” she observed.
