Hasina a ‘smart player of bloodletting game’: Rizvi

BNP-Rizvi

Alleging that the country is now under the cruel rule of one person, BNP joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Wednesday said Prime Ministers Sheikh Hasina is truly a ‘smart player of bloodletting game’.

“One minister yesterday (Tuesday) said the Prime Minister is a smart player and no one can score when she is in the filed. He (minister) pointed it out rightly. The Prime Minister is so skilled in bloodletting game that it’s difficult to have such a player like her at home and abroad,” he said.

Rizvi made the remarks while addressing a press briefing at BNP’s Nayapaltan Central office.

Mentioning that Awami League always sets a trap before any election hiding its ‘ugly’ face, the BNP leader said the party exposes its true colour after assuming office by brutally oppressing people.

“One person’s absolute rule has been established in the country by destroying all the institutions of modern governing system,” he added.

Rizvi claimed that the government is appointing partisan judges to courts as part of its plan to suppress the opposition with repressive acts in a bid to perpetuate power.

The BNP leader criticised the government for what he said attacks on opposition’s democratic programmes. “The government can’t feel safe even after grabbing the entire country with its repressive acts. So, this illegal regime swoops on opposition’s meetings and processions like a larking lioness to subdue its all democratic programmes.”

He urged all to get united to put up a strong resistance against this ‘arrogant and liar regime in the interest of the country and its people.

Lambasting the Anti Corruption Commission (ACC), he said the statuary body has now turned into a loyal washing the laundry of the present ‘illegal ‘regime.

Rizvi alleged that the ACC is giving impunity to Awami League leaders, including a drug peddler MP, a land grabber minister and those charged with corruption by international bodies. “On top it, the regime is filing cases against BNP leaders on false charges.”
