Minister Hasan alleged that BNP leaders started the casino culture during the BNP regime
Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud has claimed that GK Shamim used to give BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman Tk1 crore every month.
The minister made the remark while talking to reporters at Rajshahi Circuit House on Tuesday.
“There are reports in several online portals that GK Shamim used to give Tarique Rahman Tk1 crore per month. He also used to give money to many other BNP leaders like Sadeque Hossain Khoka, Mirza Abbas and Mosaddek Ali Falu,” he said.
Minister Hasan alleged that BNP leaders started the casino culture during the BNP regime.
“Those who started the casino culture used to take monthly payments,” he said.
Stating that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina launched the crackdown on drugs and irregularities, Dr Hasan said actions will be taken against all the offenders irrespective of their party identity.
Since September 18, law enforcement agencies have been conducting drives across Bangladesh and shutting down illegal casinos.
