Leader of the opposition in parliament Raushan Ershad in her concluding speech on Sunday said the government did not pay heed to the suggestions put forth by the opposition.
She told the house that the government should accept and implement suggestions made by the opposition for the welfare of the people and the country.
`Government doesn’t accept our recommendations,’ she said.
In the concluding day of the fourth session of the 10th parliament, Raushan stressed the need for encouraging foreign investment to materialise the plan to make the country a middle-income one.
She came up with the suggestion of setting up a cell under the supervision of planning minister to encourage foreign investment.
Raushan, who is a senior presidium member of Jatiya Party, also said the government should take necessary steps to stop going abroad illegally.
She also demanded decentralisation of administration to stop people’s coming to Dhaka.
