Gono Forum expels Sultan Mansur

Gono Forum, a component of opposition Jatiya Oikya Front, has expelled Sultan Mansur for taking oath as member of parliament (MP) defying party decision.

He has also been acquitted of the membership of the Jatiya Oikya Front’s steering committee.

Gono Forum general secretary Mostafa Moshsin Montu informed this at a press conference on Thursday afternoon.

“Sultan Mansur pledged that he would follow the party’s constitution, rules and regulations. But he has taken oath as a parliamentarian violating party discipline. He has cheated with the ideology of the party,” said Mostafa Mohsin Montu.

The expulsion comes hours after Gono Forum MP-elect Sultan Mansur sworn in as a parliamentarian.
