‘Light and Sound Show’ set up at Lalbagh Fort in the capital to project the history of the 17th century Mughal fort complex will be inaugurated on Friday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will open the aesthetic show, first of its kind in the country, at 6 pm.
“The main objective of the initiative is to project before people the proud history and unique structural beauty of the Lalbagh Fort,” Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor told a press conference on Thursday.
The press conference was arranged at the PID conference room ahead of the inauguration of the first-ever ‘Light and Sound Show’.
The minister said through the ‘Light and Sound Show’, visitors and tourists will find information about the historic fort in an enjoyable manner.
“It’ll help keep pace with the outside world in presenting the archeological sites in a time-befitting manner,” he said, adding that the initiative will also help create culture-minded generation.
Noor said the government will introduce the show in other archeological sites if the ‘Light and Sound Show’ at the Lalbagh Fort becomes a success.
There will be two shows every day and around 1000 visitors can enjoy the shows, he added.
