The final results of the 34th BCS examination have been published.
The Public Service Commission had also recommended appointment to 2,159 posts, exam controller AEM Nesar Uddin told bdnews24.com on Saturday.
The PSC recommended appointment to 293 administrative posts and 148 to the police, besides others, he said.
Results of 20 were stayed, he added.
The 6,584 candidates who have passed the written tests and viva can now apply for first class cadre posts or second class non-cadre posts.
The PSC, however, did not give any assurance on their appointment.
The commission published the circular for the appointment to 2,052 posts.
The results of the preliminary tests were published in two phases due to complications over quota.
