The FBCCI has called for keeping banks, insurance companies and other financial institutions open on Friday and Saturday this Ramadan to recover losses from shutdowns.
The apex business body made the call on Thursday in the wake of the four days of shutdown called by Jamaat-e-Islami within eight days of Ramadan.
It said the lockdowns forced businesses to incur ‘colossal losses’.
