BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir went to his Thakurgaon village home on Tuesday to celebrate Eid-ul-Azha there.
The BNP leader along with his wife and younger daughter left Dhaka for Saidpur by a United Airways flight around 5:30pm.
Before leaving Dhaka, he said, ‘My mother is sick. I’m going to my village home to celebrate the Eid with her.’
The BNP leader said he will return on Saturday, a day after the Eid. Fakhrul, on behalf of his party and its chairperson, greeted the country’s people and leaders and activists on the occasion of Eid.
