BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said the ruling Awami League has to face the same fate of the previous dictators if it does not stop oppressing opposition leaders.
The BNP spokesperson made the warning in a statement issued on Friday evening.
“The ‘illegal’ Awami League government is pushing the country towards anarchy and instability to achieve its plan of uprooting the opposition party,” said Fakhrul.
He also condemned the arrests of opposition leaders.
Fakhrul claimed: “The government-backed terrorists attacked the minority people and now the Awami League is trying to put the blame on the opposition.”
He also called upon the 18-party alliance leaders and activists to assist the tortured Hindu community people.
The BNP leader called his party activists to carry out all programmes “peacefully” until its demands are met.
