Former military strongman HM Ershad says he can’t stay still given the current state of the country.
The Chairman of Jatiya Party claimed the country was going towards development during his seven-year tenure that ended in late 1990.
Ershad told a programme at Diploma Engineers Institute on Tuesday, “My Secretary General told me not to get aggravated. But I can’t stay still.”
“There is a fire burning inside of me, and it just won’t stop. It is unthinkable where I left the country and where it is now!”
“This fire will only douse when Jatiya Party reaches power by itself.”
Ershad also said it again that his party will contest in the polls independently not with any coalition.
