The Shawwal moon has been reportedly spotted Sunday in the night sky, indicating Eid ul-Fitr will begin on July 28.
The grand mufti of Iraq, Rafi al-Rifai, announced that Eid al-Fitr would begin Monday, reports alarabiya.net.
The moon sighting committees in UAE and Saudi Arabia were meeting Sunday in their respective countries to witness the moon.
