Bangladesh Railway will start selling advanced tickets from October 2 to facilitate home-bound people ahead of Eid-ul Azha.
“The tickets of all classes of October 11-15 will be sold from October 2 to October 6,” Abu Taher, director general of Bangladesh Railway, announced at a press briefing at Rail Bhaban on Tuesday.
He said nine pairs of special trains would be introduced on the country’s busy routes from October 6 to transport extra passengers. The additional trains will operate till October 11.
In addition, the DG said four pairs of special trains would operate on routes linking Sholakia of Kishoreganj so that devotees can offer prayers at the largest Eid congregation there.
