The Dhaka University authorities on Saturday suspended three of its students over fraudulence in admission test.
Two of them have been punished for supplying hi-tech electronic device to an admission seeker and another for his alleged involvement in question paper leak syndicate.
The students are Farhad Uddin Mahmud, a 3rd year ( session 2009-10) student of information technology department, SM Imrul Kayes Shuvo, a third year student (session 2010-11) of physics department and Sohel, a third year student of oriental arts department. The first two fled from Amer Ekushey Hall and the other from Shahnewaz Hostel.
DU proctor AM Amzad said process of their expulsion was going on and the matter would be taken to disciplinary board today.
Meanwhile, detectives unearthed a question leak syndicate on Friday.
Detectives said 17 youths, who were arrested earlier for alleged question paper leak of Dhaka University and Jagannath University, had realised up to Tk 5 lakh from each student for the question paper.
