Bangladesh has denounced the successive nuclear tests carried out by North Korea as “threat to regional peace and stability”.
Issuing a statement on Monday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, “Such act of North Korea constitutes a threat to regional peace, security and stability.”
This statement by Dhaka comes as a reaction to the East Asian country’s negligence about the continuous warnings by the international community to stop its nuclear activities.
Urging Pyongyang to stop such activities to promote peace, Dhaka said, “We call upon DPRK to refrain from such unilateral act that deviates from the principles, commitment and obligation of states in promoting and maintaining international peace as well as regional peace and security.”
Earlier, Bangladesh had condemned all the nuclear tests that North Korea carried out violating the concerns expressed by the international community.
