Eighty-two people have died from Covid-19 in 24 hours (till 8am today). The daily positivity rate during this period stood at 16.38 percent, according to a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The total number of deaths in the country has reached 13,548 and the death rate stands at 1.59 percent.

At least 3,641 new infections were recorded during the period, taking the total number of people infected to 851,668 added the release.
The total positivity rate stands at 13.46 percent.
A total of 22,231 samples were tested across the country in 24 hours.
At least 2,509 Covid-19 patients have recovered during the period.
The total number of recoveries now stands at 782,655 and the recovery rate at 91.90 percent.
Among the 82 deceased, 55 were men and 27 women. Of them, ones was between 11-20, two were between 21-30, nine between 31-40, 11 between 41-50, 21 between 51-60 and 38 were above 60 years old, added the release.
