As Bangladesh's tour to Pakistan is becoming more uncertain, Pakistani players would not take part in the second Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
“BPL will continue anyway. It won't stop even if the Pakistani players are denied permission to join,” BPL Governing Council Chairman Afzalur Rahman Sinha said on Monday.
“Maybe the tournament will lose some star appeal, but it won't stop,” he added.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) President Nazmul Hassan said a decision to stop the tournament would be taken if the franchises continued to disobey the rules.
“No one is above the law. We'll be forced to scrap the tournament if the franchises violate the rules again.
“If all the franchises continue to breach the rules, tougher action will be taken against them,” he said.
The lucrative T20 competition begins on Jan 17.
