Pakistani players would henceforth be kept out of the Bangladesh Premier League or any other form of cricket in the country, says Duronto Rajshahi Chairman Mushfiqur Rahman.
He appeared at Shahbagh on Sunday morning and made this promise in front of thousands of protestors who are demanding execution of those responsible for the war crimes during the 1971 Liberation War against Pakistan.
“What the youths are doing here is truly remarkable… that is why Duronto Rajshahi has come to show solidarity,” Rahman told the crowd.
The Duronto Rajshahi team joined the mass of protestors at Shahbag at around 11:15am. The crowd greeted them with thunderous applause, said bdnews24.com Correspondents.
Popular Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzak was supposed to play in this season for Duronto Rajshahi, but had to back off following restriction imposed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Very petty and political. No one said we have to be their friends. Even enemies take part in sports. Be brave and magnanimous.
