BNP’s politics of history distortion failed: Amu

Taking a dig at BNP for staging a long march towards Teesta Barrage, Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu on Thursday said Khaleda Zia’s party has now adopted a new technique after its failure in the politics of history distortion.

“BNP has adopted new techniques of organising long march towards Teesta following its failure in the politics of history distortion,” he said.

Amu said whatever Bangladesh achieved — both at the national and international levels — that have been achieved during the tenures of Sheikh Hasina. “There had been no development during other governments.”

Amu, also the advisory council member of the ruling Awami League, said this while addressing a discussion organised by Swadihinata Chikitshak Parishad Bangbandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University on its premises.

Awami League joint general secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif, among others, spoke at the programme held with Prof Kanak Kanti Barua in the chair.

  1. To the esteemed leaders of AL. BNP failed in the distortion of Bangladesh history. Awami League has been successful in distortion of the history. Both AL and BNP are distorting history. Amu should shut up.
