The BNP delegation will meet the president at the Bangabhaban at 4pm
A delegation of BNP Parliamentary Party (BNPPP) led by Opposition Chief Whip Zainul Abdin Farroque has got permission to meet President Abdul Hamid on Friday afternoon.
The BNP delegation will meet the president at the Bangabhaban at 4pm, Syrul Kabir, a press wing official of BNP chief Khaleda Zia, told the Dhaka Tribune.
Earlier on Thursday, the delegation sought appointment to meet President Abdul Hamid.
The same delegation met Jatiya Sangsad Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban on Thursday morning where they sought her interference to see the matter of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s virtual confinement at her Gulshan residence as she could not go outside due to deployment of additional law enforcers in front of her residence.
On November 19, a delegation of the 18-party alliance, led by BNP chief Khaleda Zia, met the president regarding the current political deadlock.
