BNP team at venue to join consensus commission’s meeting

BNP delegation meets Chief Election Commissioner

A seven-member delegation from the BNP recached at the Foreign Service Academy in Dhaka today to participate in the first meeting of the National Consensus Commission with political parties.

Led by the party’s Secretary General, Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, the delegation reached there at 2:56pm to attend the meeting.

BNP Media Cell member Sayrul Kabir Khan confirmed the delegation’s participation to The Daily Star.

The BNP delegation leaders include BNP’s standing committee members Nazrul Islam Khan, Salahuddin Ahmed, and Major (retd) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed.

Other political party leaders, including Nagorik Oikya President Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) President Oli Ahmed, and Ganosamhati Andolon’s Chief Coordinator Zonayed Saki, entered the venue.

In the meeting, leaders from various political parties, including BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, LDP, Jatiya Party (Kazi Zafar), Nagorik Oikya, Islami Andolan, Khelafat Majlish, Gono Sanghati Andolon, Gonoadhikar Parishad, and Jatiya Nagorik Committee were present.
