AL can brutally kill people as killing and spreading lies are habits of the party, says Fakhrul
BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has alleged that the government is carrying out “mass killings” by using law enforcing agencies like its party “cadres” and “goons”.
The spokesperson of the party made the allegation in a statement issued on Friday.
He said: “The illegal government which grabbed power by force through the January 5 farcical election has now become desperate as the whole nation is voicing against it.
“It is now carrying out genocide by using law enforcers like its party cadres.”
Fakhrul said BNP leader SM Biplob was tortured to death by police and ruling party men at Tala upazila of Satkhira.
The BNP leader said police picked up Biplob and shot him in the name of a “gunfight” before killing him through torture along with the local ruling party “cadres”.
Protesting the killing, Fakhrul said Awami League can brutally kill people as killing and spreading lies are habits of the party.
He demanded the government immediately arrest the killers inside the police and ruling party cadres and mete out exemplary punishment to them.
