Osama Bin Noor is the only Bangladeshi to have made it on the list of Forbes Asia 30 under-30 social entrepreneurs.
The annual list by Forbes Magazine features the 30 youngsters from Asia who are leveraging business tools to solve the world’s problems.
Osama and Makshud Manik co-founded Youth Opportunities with the goal of tackling unemployment.
Youth Opportunities is a global platform to connect young people to valuable skill enhancing and career building opportunities such as scholarships, conferences, competition, exchange programs and many others.
In a span of four years, the platform spread across 192 countries serving over 100,000 youths. Osama co-founded this venture in 2012 when he was only 22 years old, and wants to bridge the gap between the youths and the thousands of opportunities awaiting them.
In December last year, Osama was named the winner of 2016 Queen’s Young Leaders Award from Bangladesh.
Osama has also been engaged in numerous volunteering activities for different national and international organisations for the last five years. He is also a co-host of Teen Tekka, the first radio show in Bangladesh dedicated to teenagers.
Studying to be a dentist, Osama’s dream is a world where all the young people have equal access to opportunities and unemployment will be a myth.
