Bangladesh wipe out Windies top order

West Indies 35/5 . Bangladesh scored 217/9 after end of the stipulated 50 overs

West Indies have lost five wickets for just 35  runs in 14 th over while chasing 218 against Bangladesh at the first One day International in St. George on Wednesday.

Gayle was out for 3 in the bowling of Mortaza, caught at third man By Al-Amin Hossain. Later on he forced Darren  Bravo to nick one to his Rahim when he was at 7. Mahmudullah Removed the other opener Edwards for just 7. He was clean bowled. Al-Amin again produced a jaffer to pick Samules caught behind. The lanky pace bowler of Bangladesh continued the havoc as he induced the West Indies skipper to make a lofted shot just to be caught at deep mid wicket by Sohag Gazi for just 10.

Anamul Haque scored brilliant 109 from 138 deliveries to help Bangladesh post a total of 217 at the end of the 50 overs in the first one day International against West Indies at St. Georges on Wednesday.

Bangladesh  lost  quick wickets after  Opening pair of Tamim Iqbal and Anamul Haque made a decent start at the first one day match against West Indies at St. George’s on Wednesday.

Tamim Iqbal was caught By Polard  at mid wicket when he tried to pull Holder at the first ball of 13th over. He was out for 26 from 47 balls.

Later on Imrul Kayes was run out through a horrible mis understanding in the running between the wickets and the batters collided to each other in the middle of the pitch.

Shamsur tickled a straight forward delivary of Bravo to wicketkeeper for just 8.

Skipper Rahim made a top edge while trying to sweep Gayle and caught at backward point for 12.

Mahmudullah was played on for 11 in the bowling of Bravo.

Nasir Hussain skyed a slower delivery of Rampaul to wicket keeper Ramdin after a fifty partnership with Anamul.

Earlier, Dwayne Bravo, the skipper of the West Indies has won the toss and decided to field first in the first One day international of the 3 match series at St. George’s.

The pitch seems to be perfect for seam bowling with overhead condition.

Bangladesh is desperate to win a match as they are winless in this calendar year.
