Bangladesh scored 241 for 9 in the second ODI match of three match series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur in Dhaka on Saturday.
Paceman Al-Amin Hossain has made a splendid woodwork bagging two important wickets for host’s side to seal the game.
He split the 80-run partnership by Zimbabwe skipper Elton Chigumbura (47) and Sikandar Raza (33) within his two consecutive overs.
All-rounder Raza was looking to pull the Al-Amin delivay over mid-wicket, failed to judge and sliced it to the mid-on fielder Imrul Kayes on 33th over.
Later, Chigumbura follows Raza into the dressing room at 35th over. A slower leg cutter and short delivery, Chigumbura was looking to cut it over third man, failed to get the timing right and Imrul Kayes took a fabulous catch at the end.
Bangladesh have drawn the first blood, Arafat Sunny brought the first breakthrough. The arm ball and straight in the line skid after pitching and hit Chakabva in front. He scored 1 after being LBW.
Mashrafe sent Zimbabwe opener Chibhabha. A tremendous bowling effort hit the wicket clearly which was nipped back after pitching, Chibhabha was looking to defend it, got an inside edge to stumps.
Chibhabha scored 14 off 9 balls.
Mustafizur Rahman sent Sean Williams to the pavilion in an outstanding delivery. The delivery might be an offcutter and Williams goes after that and inside-halves. Nasir’s hand caught the flying ball easily.
He scored 14 off 17 balls.
Zimbabwe require another 190 runs with 7 wickets.
Bangladesh have set 242-run target for touring Zimbabwe on the second one-day international of the three-match series.
The Tigers managed to score 241 runs losing 9 wickets.
Losing wickets at the regular interval never allowed Bangladeshi innings to flourish. The major area of concern was that batsmen got out after settling in.
Muzarabani picked the wickets of Arafat Sunny and Mashrafe Mortaza while Panyangara took the wicket of Al-Amin Hossain. Jongwe sent Sabbir Rahman back to the pavilion for 33 runs.
Bangladesh recovered well after losing both Tamim Iqbal and Liton Kumar Das where the Chittagong lad who was looking in fine touch was caught behind after scoring 19 off 25 balls to pacer Tinashe Panyangara. Young Liton Kumar Das missed out again as the right-hander was out after adding just seven to become the second victim of Panyangara.
Williams dismissed Imrul Kayes when the Bangladeshi batsman scored 76 runs for his team.

The match began at 1pm Monday at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.
Eariler, Zimbabwe won the toss and asked Bangladesh to bat on the second ODI of the three-match series.
Imrul Kayes included in the playing eleven replacing new daddy Shakib Al Hasan who flew to the United States to stay beside his wife and newly born baby girl.
Earlier on Saturday, the Tigers win 1st ODI against Zimbabwe by 145 runs.
