Opener Liton Das scored highest 61 off 34 balls as Bangladesh posted 184-5 in the third and final Twenty20 international against West Indies at Central Broward Park at Lauderhill, Florida on Monday.
Liton and his fellow opener Tamim Iqbal helped the Tigers get a rollicking start putting 61 runs in the opening stand in just 4.4 overs after skipper Sakib al Hasan won the toss and opted to bat.
The pair ensured Bangladesh experienced their best ever start in a Twenty20 international before Tamim left for 21 off 13 balls picking out short third man fielder off Carlos Brathwiate.
The Tigers reached their fifty in 3.4 overs but had to bat nearly another seven overs to complete their hundred as Tamim, Soumya Sarkar (5) and Mushfiqur Rahim (12 off 14 balls) got out in quick successions.
Skipper Sakib al Hasan repaired the damage but got dismissed for 24 off 22 just when his innings started getting pace.
Mahmudullah stayed 32 not out off 20 balls alongside Ariful Haque, 18 off 16 balls, making sure Bangladesh did not lose their way completely and got a decent score on board.
Brathwaite and Keemo Paul took two wickets each for West Indies giving away 32 and 28 runs respectively.
The series remained tied 1-1 after West Indies won the first game by seven wickets and Bangladesh won the second game by 12 runs.
