Bangladesh slipped two places down to 185 in the latest FIFA rankings and 39th among Asian nations.
According to the FIFA Men’s Ranking published on Thursday, Bangladesh national football team notched the position globally and regionally.
Bangladesh are followed by two SAARC countries Nepal (186) and Bhutan (189) in the rankings.
Iran is leading Asian country, securing 37th spot.
Neighbouring India were ranked 148th and Pakistan secured 194th in the global rankings.
According to the FIFA rankings, Argentina remains at the top, and followed by Belgium. Belgium is ahead of world champions Germany.
