তিরিশ লাখ’ শহীদের মধ্যে সর্বদা গ্রীণ জোনে থাকা এই চাচাদের কেউ নাই
প্রতিপক্ষের বিরুদ্ধে আওয়ামী লীগ অনবরত মিথ্যা বলতে পারে কিন্তু নিজের বিরুদ্ধে একটি সত্য কথাও সহ্য করতে পারে না। বাঙালির অনেক দুঃখের মধ্যে সবচেয়ে বড় দুঃখ এটি।
আওয়ামী লীগের অবস্থা হয়েছে গ্রামের খ্যাপা পাগলের মতো। এরা বিশ্বব্যাংককে কখনও পায়ে ধরে, কখনও গোলামের পুত বলে গালি দেয়। খোদ যুক্তরাষ্ট্রের সহকারী পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রীকে বলে দুই অানার মন্ত্রী। তাদের রাষ্ট্রদূতকে ডাকে কাজের বুয়া।
তাদের দাবি মতই ত্রিশ লাখ মানুষ স্বাধীনতা যুদ্ধে নিহত হয়েছেন ।
অর্থাৎ মুক্তিযুদ্ধের চেতনার প্রতি আপনার ঈমান থাকলে মনে প্রাণে বিশ্বাস করতে হবে যে দেশের প্রতি পঁচিশ জন মানুষের মধ্যে তখন এক জন নিহত হয়েছেন ।
অথচ এত বড় হত্যাকান্ডের মধ্যেও আওয়ামী লীগের শ কয়েক কেন্দ্রীয় নেতাদের মধ্য থেকে কেউ ছিলেন না । তাদের দলীয় কয়েকশ এমএনএ ও এমপিএদের মধ্যেও কেউ এই তালিকায় ছিলেন না । এদের অনেকেই স্বপক্ষ ত্যাগ করে রাজাকার হয়েছেন কিন্তু কেউ মুক্তিযুদ্ধে বা ক্রস ফায়ারে পড়ে শহীদ হন নি। যতদূর জানা গেছে জেলা পর্যায়ের বা থানা পর্যায়ের কোন উল্লেখযোগ্য নেতাও শহীদদের এই বিশাল তালিকাটিতে স্থান করে নিতে পারেন নি।
কারন একটাই, যুদ্ধের তপ্ত ময়দান থেকে আপন আপন প্রাণ বাঁচিয়ে এই চাচাগণ সবাই নিরাপদ দূরত্বে ছিলেন।
জনগনের মনের এই অভিব্যক্তিটিই ফুটে উঠেছে বেগম খালেদা জিয়ার বক্তৃতায় । তাতেই তেলে বেগুনে জ্বলে উঠেছে সমস্ত আওয়ামী মেশিনারিজ।
আর যায় কোথায় ? এখন শহীদ প্রেসিডেন্ট জিয়া হয়ে পড়েছেন মুজিব নগর সরকারের একজন নগন্য বেতনভূক্ত কর্মচারী । দুটি ছোট্ট ছেলে নিয়ে বেগম খালেদা জিয়া ক্যান্টনমেন্টে অন্তরীন অবস্থায় ছিলেন। এই বিষয়টি নিয়েও এখন অশ্লীল ঈঙ্গিত করেছেন নিজ দলীয় নেত্রী কর্তৃক ‘পরম বেয়াদব’ খেতাব প্রাপ্ত হাছান মাহমুদ।
প্রতিপক্ষকে অাক্রমন করতে গিয়ে এই হাছান মাহমুদ গং পুরো মুক্তিযুদ্ধকেই চরম অপমান করে ছেড়েছেন। কারন যাদের হাতে ক্যান্টনমেন্টের নিয়ন্ত্রণ ছিল, সেই একই গ্রুপের কব্জাতেই ছিল ধানমন্ডির সেই বাড়িটিও। সেই বাড়িতেও কয়েক জন নারী ছিলেন। কাজেই একজনকে অপবাদ দিতে গেলে সেই অপবাদ অন্যজনের ঘাড়েও অটোমেটিক চেপে বসে।
এটুকু বোঝার শক্তি আপার চেম্বার বিলকুল খালি হওয়া এই হাছান মাহমুদদের কখনই হবে না।
It seems that Khaleda Zia with her recent hard work has been able to involve the common mass in her current movement for restoring democracy in Bangladesh. She does not represent only BNP or the 20 Party Alliance now. She actually represents all the democracy loving people of Bangladesh at the
moment. Therefore, she must congratulate all men and women in the rally, not only BNP or the “Bish Dolio Jote” and ask them how much she expects from all of the democracy loving common people of Bangladesh.
The next addresses need to be very targeted, to the point and short but powerful. The nation is in a great crisis and therefore, an exceptional leadership is required to overcome this crisis. She will have to plan everything considering that this undemocratic government will put her in jail soon. She will have to have a Plan B and a Plan C. Introduction of total democratic selection process for the leaders at all levels through party councils is very important now. This will eliminate the rivalry and sub grouping.
On another note, Kheleda Zia will have to realise that this nation would not be facing the current crisis if BNP government did not try to manipulate the 2006 caretaker government by wanting to select any particular caretaker chief. Therefore, it is an obligation for the BNP to offer an extraordinary leadership in order to conduct an all-out people-oriented movement to restore democracy within months. Or else, much sadly, the country will be fallen to the hands of the worst autocratic regime – once and for all.
