Miscreants have made attempt to set a book stall on fire at Amar Ekushey Book Fair in Dhaka.
Prasenjit Roy, salesman of Platform book stall No 492, told the Dhaka Tribune that some assailants threw torn papers with fire flame to their book stall around 6pm on Monday.
Soon after the incident, they doused the fire before causing any damage of the stall, he continued.
On information, Jalal Ahmed, Amar Ekushey Book Fair Committee secretary, visited the book stall and he smelt kerosene on the spot.
Scrutinising CCTV footage, police have detected two youths moving around the stall during the incident, he added.
