DHAKA: Awami League led 14 party alliance will hold a public rally in Dhaka on March 18 to protest the violence by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and it’s student wing Shibir during recent strikes.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is likely to address the rally to be held at the Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh.
Awami League joint general secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif unveiled the programmes while briefing reporters after a views-exchange meeting with the leaders of its Narsingdi, Gazipur, Manikganj, Narayanganj and Munshiganj district units at Awami League president Sheikh Hasina’s political office at Dhanmondi on Saturday.
