BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has remarked that there is no democracy in Bangladesh now and the rights of people from all class and profession are not secured anymore.
“Democracy in Bangladesh is banished. Democratic tradition and institutions have been destroyed,” she said.
The BNP chief made the remarks through a statement sent to media on Thursday on the occasion of May Day. The statement was signed by BNP International Affairs Secretary Asaduzzaman Ripon.
“No logical rights and demands of people of any class and profession can be ensured without a democratic society. I call upon all brothers and sisters of working class to join the movement of restoring a democratic society where liberty, equality and fraternity prevail,” the BNP Chief said in the statement.
Khaleda Zia greeted all Bangladeshi labourers in home and abroad. She also wished their peace, progress and success in every field.

Hasina is crazy. Mentally unstable and not fit to run her own household, let alone Bangladesh. I am surprised how the Al leadership work with her? It is about time to put her into the mental institution.
