Two policemen and two Ansar members of Lobanchara police camp in the city have been closed to the district police lines on charge of beating a truck driver.
The action was taken against police constables Milon Kumar Roy and Mostafizur Rahman, and Ansar men Delwar and Faruqe on Friday night.
Witnesses said the accused cops beat truck driver Abdur Rahman after water splashed on them from road while the trucker was speedily driving his vehicle in front of the police camp on Friday afternoon.
Later, locals staged demonstrations in front of the police camp protesting the attack on the truck driver.
On information, high police officials visited the spot on Friday night and closed the four accused policemen and Ansar members.
Abdur Rahman was admitted to Khulna General Hospital.
