Shares on the Dhaka Stock Exchange posted losses today.
The DSEX, the benchmark index of the premier bourse of the country, gave up 61.41 points, or 0.87 per cent, to end the day at 7,000.
Turnover, an important indicator of the market, fell 5.04 per cent to Tk 1,637 crore compared to the previous session.
Losers outnumbered winners, as prices of 226 fell, 122 gained and 27 remained unchanged.
Shares on the Chattogram Stock Exchange also dropped. The broader CASPI index dipped 148 points, or 0.72 per cent, to end at 20,480.
Of the 299 issues traded, 101 advanced, 174 declined, and 24 were unchanged.
