The Dhaka University authorities have suspended five of its students for distributing leaflets and CDs of the banned militant outfit Hizb-ut Tahrir on the campus.
The university authority has issued a press release on Thursday afternoon in this regard.
The suspended students are Nur-e-Alam Md Sihab Uddin and Md Sayedee Hasan Sajib of MBA (management), Tarikul Islam of MBA (accounting and information systems), BBA students Nakib Farhan and Md Alamgir Hossain.
The press release said the five students were found campaigning for the militant outfit by distributing leaflets and CDs, in different rooms of the business faculty building.
The university administration identified them through verifying footage of closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, the release added.
