Detectives claimed to have arrested 12 people from the capital’s Tejturi Bazar suspecting their involvement with selling ‘fake question papers’ for admission to Dhaka University.
The detainees include several applicants of ‘K’ unit admission test of DU, said Muntasirul Islam, deputy commissioner (media) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
The crackdown took place last night hours before the admission test of the ‘K’ unit began today.
The detainees were held for providing students with some questions for ‘Ka’ unit admission test in exchange of money, UNB adds quoting the DMP official.
The admission test of DU ‘K’ unit is being held for first year Honours courses for session 2015-2016 on Friday.
