Scalping all 10 wickets in a game probably even exceeds the imagination of any bowler. And to do that in any level of cricket is an achievement to cherish for any bowler.
Medium pacer Lathiful Azam Badhon, former BKSP player, is also cherishing the unique achievement of taking all 10 wickets during a First Division Cricket League game in Sirajganj on Wednesday.
Badhon, playing for Rahmotganj Young Association, scalped all 10 wickets and folded Renaissance Club for just 18 runs in 10.3 overs. Following Badhon’s impressive figures of 10 for eight in 5.3 overs including two maidens, Rahmotganj cruised to victory in just 2.2 overs in a 50-over game with all wickets intact.
“I am extremely delighted,” said an elated Badhon, who was in the same batch as premier all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan in BKSP.
While Shakib continued playing professional cricket and became the superstar that he is today, Badhon had quit playing professional cricket back in 2014.
The 30-year-old also hoped to continue his amateur cricket career.
“It feels really good to have taken all 10 wickets in a game. And as I won’t be able to play professionally, I just seek everyone’s prayers so that I can continue my amateur cricket career and continue my job life side by side.”
