THE GREEN CHANNEL
Three top generals are possible suspects in countering the flow of political events in Bangladesh. We must be extra careful about them. They should not be allowed to influence the Army Chief in making plans. Major General Ziaul Ahsan – Director General, National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre (DG NTMC), is the most closest to Maj Gen Tarique Ahmed Siddique, the Defense Advisor to Sheikh Hasina. No body knows the whereabouts of Gen. Siddique at this time.
Lieutenant General Md Mujibur Rahman – Quartermaster-General (QMG), Army Headquarters
Major General Hamidul Haque – Director General, Directorate-General of Forces Intelligence (DG DGFI)
Major General Ziaul Ahsan – Director General, National Telecommunication Monitoring Centre (DG NTMC), Dhaka
In addition to the above, we must keep an eye on two more generals:
Major General A K M Nazmul Hasan – Director General, Special Security Force (DG SSF), Prime Minister’s Office
Major General Mohammed Hossain Al Morshed – Director General, National Security Intelligence (DG NSI)
