At half time, visiting Australia were four goals ahead against Bangladesh in the World Cup qualifier at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.

The first three goals were scored off Tim Cahill’s foot at the sixth, 33 and 37th minute. Two minutes before half-time Mile Zedinak scored another to put Australia on cruise.

Bangladesh started off under pressure but found their confidence a few minutes after conceding the first goal. After conceding the second, their new-found steam apparently ran out.
