‘Law enforcement agency’ members reached information technology expert Tanvir Hasan Zoha his Kalabagan home early Wednesday.
Zoha’s paternal uncle Mahbubul Alam, a former deputy director general of Bangladesh Television, told New Age that members of law enforcement agencies reached Zoha home between 1:00am and 2:00am.
When asked members of which agency took Zoha home, Mahbubul took a pause and then said it would be wise for him to say members of law enforcement agencies rather than specifying any agency.
‘They just told us that Zoha was walking distractedly near Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport and they took him home,’ he said.
Zoha’s brother-in-law Belayet Hossain said a physician examined him and recommended him for complete rest as he had suffered much stress,
Zoha was was abducted at gun-point from Kachukhet area in Dhaka on March 17.
The family rushed to several police stations but could not trace him and the police too declined to register any general diary regarding his abduction.
Quamrunnahar Chowdhury, Zoha’s wife, told New Age that Zoha was summoned to an office at Kachukhet and started for home from there after midnight on CNG-run auto-rickshaw.
‘One of his friends was also with him. The friend said as their auto-rickshaw started several cars cordoned them off and took them onto car at gunpoint. They had released the friend at Manik Miah Avenue at took away Zoha,’ she had said.
Quamrunnahar said getting informed,  they first went to Kalabagan police and they referred them to Kafrul police and Kafrul police sent them to Bhasantek police and they had asked to check at Cantonment police station.  But nowhere they found Zoha and the police stations refused to register a general diary, she said.
