High Court grants six-month bail to BNP leader Khoka

The High Court has granted bail for six months to BNP leader Sadeque Hossain Khoka in three separate cases filed with Jatrabari and Motijheel police stations on Sunday.

A HC bench of Justice Naima Haider and Justice Zafar Ahmed passed the order.

Khoka’s lawyer M Mahbubuddin Khokon said: “now there is no bar to release him from jail.”

From the cases, two were filed with Jatrabari police station for instigating party activists into setting off bombs, vandalising vehicles and conducting arson during the opposition’s blockade.

Another case was filed against him with Motijheel police station for his involvement with Hefazat-e-Islam.
