Khaleda a derailed politician, says Mujibul Hoque

Branding Khaleda Zia as a derailed politician, Railways Minister M Mujibul Hoque on Thursday accused BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia of choosing the path of anarchy and terrorism as she got jealous seeing Bangladesh’s march forward.

“Being jealous at Bangladesh’s march forward in all sectors under Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s dynamic leadership, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has chosen the path of violent politics,” he alleged.

The minister was addressing a discussion on International Mother Language Day organised by Bangladesh Awami Muktijoddha League at the Institute of Diploma Engineers (IDE) in the capital.

The Railways Minister said, ”You (Khaleda) didn’t take part in the 10th parliamentary elections held on January 5, 2014. Now you’re engaged in making attacks on people as they participated in the polls.”

“Why people will suffer for your wrong decision? What was people’s fault in this regard?” he questioned, adding that the BNP would never be able to return to power exercising such violence and terror campaign in the name of politics.

Mujibul Hoque urged the BNP chairperson and her party men to shun the politics of violence.
