BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has alleged that country’s democracy is shackled and a conspiracy is going on to exile democracy permanently from the country.

The BNP chief made the statement in a press release issued on Monday to mark the Noor Hossain Day.

“Noor Hossain’s sacrificed his life for the dream of democracy and his dream is yet to be succeeded. The freed democracy of 1990’s is shackled again. There is a conspiracy going on to exile democracy permanently from the country,” she said.

Khaleda also alleged that it has become clear that the secret conspiracy of establishing one-party ruling system through a partial election is going on.

“Noor Hossain is our inspiration in restoring democracy. We have to try to restore open democratic Bangladesh following his example,” she went on.

The former premier alleged that unfortunately the autocratic ruler is the partner of incumbent government.

“Will Noor Hossain’s soul be in peace? Noor Hossain was an activist of Awami Jubo League. Is not it a cheating with him?” she questioned.
