Bangladesh Test captain Mushfiqur Rahim has urged the Bangladeshi fans to refrain from posting abusive comments on facebook and said that Bangladesh cricket fans are one of the most passionate in the world and they should work together to make the nation proud.

Musfhfiq made the post on his official facebook page just hours after his teammate and skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza deactivated his official fan page to protest the incident on Nasir Hossain, the young allrounder’s facebook post. Earlier, Nasir posted a picture with his young sister on his official facebook page. But he had to remove it the next day for the shameful, abusive and obscene comments made by some “fans” in that post.

Nasir later posted a picture with the caption with the caption, “don’t follow me”, and wrote about his disappointment over the fan’s behavior.

“Bangladesh cricket fans are globally known to be one of the most passionate cricket fans in the world. The support that the team receives from the fans on and off the field have been amazing over the years, and hopefully it will continue forever. However, please refrain from posting any abusive comments on social network, be it on the page of a Bangladeshi cricketer, or any other foreign celebrity. Everyone tries their heart and soul to make their nation proud so every individual deserves some respect in return,” read out Mushfiqur’s official facebook post along with a picture of Bangladesh fans waving the colors of the nation.

The post also said that anyone posting abusive comments on the page will be banned from the page and suggested everyone to keep their views clean while using social media.
