BCB finalises Bangladesh-Pakistan tour schedule

Bangladesh-Pakistan-Cricket

The teams are set to play a three-match ODI series, followed by a lone Twenty20 match and two Test matches.

The Tigers are buoyant after their most successful World Cup campaign in Australia and New Zealand, where they reached the knockout stages for the first time.

The ODIs will be played on Apr 17, 19 and 22. All of them will be held at Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, according to Saturday’s announcement.

The lone T20, on Apr 24, will be followed by a two-match Test series starting on Apr 28 in Khulna. The second Test will start on May 6 in Mirpur.

Both teams crashed out of the World Cup in the quarterfinals. Bangladesh lost to India while Pakistan lost to eventual champions Australia.

Pakistan has already announced its squads for the three formats. Misbah-ul-Haq will lead them in the Tests while Azhar Ali will captain their ODI side. The T20 team will be led by Shahid Afridi.

They will reach Dhaka on Apr 13.
