The Police on Sunday evening briefly held singer Baby Naznin from the entrance of Bangladesh Nationalist Party chairperson’s office in Gulshan after she insisted to meet Khaleda Zia ignoring police obstruction.
Baby Naznin went there with some soup and yogurt for Khaleda Zia.
‘I just come here with some soup and yogurt for her as I honour her as my mother. I am here as an artiste not any political activist,’ she told policemen requesting to allow her to enter Khaleda’s office in the evening.
At one stage police asked her to leave the place otherwise face arrest.
At around 7:50pm, a group of policewomen picked up her from the spot and took to Gulshan police station.
Gulshan thana officer-in-charge, Rafiqul Islam, said she was released after about an hour under their custody.
