A magnificent 80-run partnership effort by Hashim Amala and Jean-Paul Duminy helped South Africa to set a fighting 170 –run target against New Zealand in a Group 1 game of World T20 at MA Aziz stadium in Chittagong on Monday.

Duminy hit a fabulous quick fifty and scored a whirlwind unbeaten 86 runs off 43 balls with ten boundaries and three skycrapping maximums.

Hashim Amla made a finest start by scoring 41 runs hitting 56 deliveries before sent back to the pavilion in an upset bat-off.

Corey Anderson and Tim Southee bagged two wickets each for Kiwi side.

Earlier, New Zealand won the toss and chose to bowl first.
