The former national captain further added: “The weather was good today as there was no sign of rain. Batsmen scored good runs as expected. Usually the wicket of BKSP is more convenient for the batsmen.”
Habibul Bashar empathized with the bowlers as well. “It was difficult for the bowlers as it was very hot and the wicket was flat. But everything seems so far so good,” said the former captain of the national team.
BCB Green team scored 284 runs losing only 3 wickets in 45 overs. Soumya Sarkar and Mahmudullah Riyad scored 60 and 62 runs respectively (retired). Afifi Hossain added 64. Sheikh Mahedi Hasan grabbed 2 wickets along with 1 wicket for Shoriful Islam.
In pursuit of the target, BCB Red team’s opener Tamim Iqbal scored a thunderous 80 in 58 balls while smashing seven fours and four sixes. Mushfiqur Rahim scored 64 runs (retired). They surpassed their target easily, reaching 288 runs by losing 5 wickets in 41 overs.
As the Red team won the match by 5 wickets, their all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain expressed his satisfaction about the overall preparation.
“It was challenging to bowl at this hot condition but it was a good practice for us. One has to ignore such matters if he wants to play international cricket,” said Mosaddek.
“Of course the result has to be very good and in favor of us. Best part is that everyone is in good touch. This series will be very important and we’ll go ahead with our best team and play to win the series,” the 25-year-old cricketer put forth his strong optimism.
