Additional District and Session’s Judge Ali Akbar passed the order when the accused surrendered before his court seeking bail in the cases filed with Siddhirganj and Sonargaon police stations.
Those got bail also include district BNP general secretary Kazi Moniruzzaman Monir, vice-president Jannatul Ferdous, Araihazar BNP leader Anwar Hossain Anu and Sonargaon unit convener Safar Ali Bhuiyan.
The BNP men surrendered before the lower court in compliance with a High Court.
The High Court on May 19 granted the accused a one month’s interim bail asking them to surrender before the trial court within the period.
Thirteen people, including two Border Guard Bangladesh members and two cops, were killed as the Hefajat men clashed with law enforcers in Siddhirganj on May 6.
A total of 15 cases were filed with Siddhirganj and Sonargaon police stations in connection with the incident when two police camps and 10 vehicles were also torched and over 50 vehicles vandalised.
